The six states aren’t listed do we know which are included????? I love harassing insurance or anyone who says no! Bring it on Medicare I’m your worst nightmare I will tor you in knots until you say YES hahahahaha

Medicare is including 17 specific outpatient Part B services they consider to be vulnerable to overuse, waste, fraud or abuse. Confirmed examples include

Neuromodulation and nerve stimulation devices:

Electrical nerve stimulators,

Sacral nerve stimulation for urinary incontinence,

Phrenic nerve stimulators,

Deep brain stimulation (e.g., for Parkinson’s and essential tremor),

Vagus nerve stimulation,

Hypoglossal nerve stimulation (for sleep apnea).

Musculoskeletal and orthopedic interventions:

Cervical fusion,

Knee arthroscopy (especially for osteoarthritis),

Total knee arthroplasty,

Outpatient spinal injections (e.g., epidural steroid injections),

Percutaneous vertebral augmentation (e.g., for compression fractures).

Other specialized items and outpatient procedures:

Skin and tissue substitutes,

Incontinence control devices,

Epidural steroid injections (excluding facet joint injections).

Thank you, Rochelle! This is atrocious news. Is there more info somewhere about the kinds of services they will deny (beyond medical services while in rehab) if you're on Medicare?
