I am not frustrated. I am angry. Democrats had all the cards and some of them folded. With all the pain, hunger and suffering of these past weeks, the country is in for a lot more when health care costs rise. I get that we are moving on, that there will never be a vote or a reduction in costs and all the rest, but I have no faith in Schumer and weakened faith in Jeffries. I’m still standing and I won’t give up but as usual we are on our own.
It's clear that Schumer's leadership of Senate Dems is coming to an end... or certainly should come to an end. And I share your lack of faith in Jeffries. What this scenario highlighted to me very clearly was that the Democratic leadership, as it is currently structured, is not well-equipped for this moment. I think they did the best with the skills and leadership they possess. And to be clear, this is not meant as a compliment.
With that said, it was never realistic to expect that the government subsidies would be restored. Those were cut when Republicans took control of the presidency, the House, and the Senate. It's another terrible outcome of the election.
Thank you. This calmed me down a little bit.

Agreed!
