Vice President Harris Has Entered the Chat
Record shattering fundraising and a great campaign rally.
The last 48 hours don’t feel real. Since Donald Trump descended that escalator eight years ago, we have become so accustomed to the worst-case scenario. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.
The past two days couldn’t have gone better. The party aligned behind Vice President Harris. Vice President Harris raised over 100 million dollars from 1 million individuals, 62% of whom were first-time donors. Social media exploded with pro-Harris content. Yesterday, Vice President Harris held an opening rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that should silence any concerns that she isn’t up for the job.
Her message, her passion, and her delivery were spot on. She drew a stark contrast between her record and Donald Trump’s, but more importantly, she laid out a vision for the future.
She started off with this banger of an opening:
And boy, does she know Donald Trump’s type. She continued laying out her excellent record as a prosecutor, using her power to defend Americans from corporate greed compared to Donald Trump’s criminality.
The best part of this rally was that after laying out this contrast so clearly, Vice President Harris turned to a message about the future, clearly stating what is at stake in this election beyond Donald Trump.

The prosecutor vs. the criminal; the future vs. the past; fighting for you vs. fighting for yourself. This is a winning message!

The race is on to define Vice President Harris. The right-wing is already out in full force, calling her a DEI candidate and attacking her for not having biological children.
We need to drown out these despicable and racist voices with messages of our own.
There is a clear choice in this election, and we have a choice.

The road to progress runs through rural America. Even beyond the electoral college, our system favors rural votes – 60% of the US Senate is elected by just 25% of the population, in mostly rural states, and 2/3 of US House districts are classified as “Pure Rural, Rural-Suburban, or Sparse Suburban.” Serious engagement with rural and small town voters is essential to create a stronger democracy and shared prosperity across all our communities. The Rural Youth Voter Fund aims to support and expand year-round civic engagement and power building strategies to mobilize young voters under the age of 35 in small towns and rural areas.
